Wiener Dogs Take Over Key West in Annual New Years Eve Parade

Now in its 13th year, the Annual Key West Dachshund Walk took place on New Years Eve with nearly 200 wiener dogs in attendance.

As the day of the parade approached, the Dachshunds were getting very excited:

When parade day finally came, many of the short-legged, long-bodied pups dressed up in their snazziest outfits and took to the streets of Key West, Florida for some end-of-the-year fun. They turn Fleming St. into a wiener wonderland full of little legs!

Meanwhile, over in London, Grace Ang-Lygate, inspired by walks like the Annual Key West Dachshund Walk, started up a Dachshund walk of her own.

Organized through Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #SausageWalkLondon, the Sausage Walks complete with sausage dogs take place every 3 to 4 months.

Be on the lookout for next year's Annual Key West Dachshund Walk. And be sure to "like" their Facebook page for any and all pupdates for the family-friendly event.
