Watch a Little Girl Read a Bedtime Story to a Cow

Cows can't read but they don't mind someone reading to them!

Down on the farm in Berlin, Germany, cows practice their listening and literary skills with visitors at Hof Butenland farm animal sanctuary. This cow, like all of the other rescued animals, was spared from abusive or neglectful situations. Now in his forever home, this cow is getting plenty of enrichment.

In this video, a little German girl reads a book to one cow about another cow searching for treasure on a farm. She even brought along a teddy bear, which, at times, the cow seems more interested in than book.

Apparently, reading time is a popular activity. Another cow wanted in on the action. It looks like the second cow wanted to help out the little girl. He stuck his head right in the middle of the pages.

But, the little girl was determined to finishing reading. We hope she made it all the way to the end!

This is some creative enrichment for cows and kids. Who would have thought a cow could be patient enough to sit through a bedtime story?
