The New App Wag Is Like Uber for Dog Walking

Posted by Mateja Lane

Need a dog walker pronto? Check out the new Wag app.

The slogan "There's an app for that" can't ring more true than in our current mobile age. There's an app in the works for vet visits, for dog borrowing, and now, for dog walking.

Wag is an app that works like Uber, the ride-sharing app: you open the app, see if there are any dog walkers available near you, and request a walk.

While your dog walker is taking Princess on a walk around the park, you can track them live from wherever you are.

Finally, the dog walker sends you a report card on your pooch so you can know if your dog did their business and if they behaved.

Wag makes sure that all the dog walkers on their app have current background checks and they insure their walks. They also give 10 cents of every mile walked to Best Friends Animal Society, the biggest no-kill sanctuary in the nation.

Wag currently has dog walkers in the San Francisco/Bay Area, multiple cities in Southern California, New York City, Chicago, Seattle, and most recently, Austin, Texas.
