The little moments with horses are sometimes the most precious, and this video is a beautiful testament to that.
When it comes to life with horses, sometimes it's the little moments that mean the most. It's the quiet times in the stable when you're alone with your horse; it's grooming in preparation of a ride; it's the days when you show up at the barn with no intentions of riding at all; and it's the time we spend with our equine friends, just listening to the sounds of them grazing and breathing and immersing ourselves in what it means to be near them.
This video captures some of those precious little moments between a horse and rider. Take a look:
When was the last time you just spent some quiet time with your horse? Life passes by all too quickly, and taking just a few minutes to enjoy your horse's company in peace and quiet can be the perfect way to recharge at the end of a hectic week.
But there's another benefit to spending time doing little or nothing with your horse: it lets us get to know them better. It's easy to get caught up in training our horses, but just standing and watching them gives us a chance to truly observe them and get to know their likes and dislikes. When you observe your horse, you learn to better read his body language and moods. This can make you a better overall rider.
