Watch tiny tortoises Oogway and Morla get a bath!
These little tortoises, named after characters from "Kung Fu Panda" and "The Never Ending Story," get a bath. Morla prefers not to bathe and Oogway ends up on his face. No tiny tortoises were harmed in the faceplant fiasco; slightly embarrassed maybe, but not harmed.
Try not to smile uncontrollably while these little guys get a bath.
It is made clear early on that Morla isn't a fan of bath time. This becomes apparent when she tries to escape. Twice...
Oogway on the other hand, seems to be the one that doesn't mind the whole water-dripping-on-his-head bath time process. However, he's the one that ends up on his head. We see him topple out of his bath as he decides he's got better places to be. All in tiny tortoise slow-motion speed, of course
It's important to bathe tortoises as they do need to clean their shell. But tortoises absorb water through their shell and their skin, so you'll need to rinse off any residue on their shell. The water should be deep enough for them to wade around, but not deep enough for them to drown.
Tortoises are land-dwelling creatures and can vary in size from a few centimeters in diameter to five feet, depending on the type of tortoise. Tortoises, known for having a long lifespan, can live for up to 150 years! The tortoises in this video are just under a year old.
While it is important these little guys get a bath, not all reptiles and pets need regular bathing. Chinchillas actually bathe in dust! Before bathing pets, make sure to research proper species bathing requirements.
