A French artist is sitting on eggs for the next 21 to 26 days until they hatch, essentially "becoming a chicken" for his art.
Some people will do anything for their art. One French artist is sitting on chicken eggs until they hatch. He'll spend the next 21 to 26 days sitting on the eggs in order to keep them warm enough to survive.
The display is part of a new art piece, and observers can watch the man in an enclosure. He can only leave the "nest" for 30 minutes per day, and will remain completely mute during the duration of the art installment. And if you're wondering, no, he doesn't get up for bathroom breaks. Instead, he will be using a box beneath him as a makeshift toilet.
The French artist noted that he will essentially "become a chicken" during the time he spends sitting on the eggs.

There have been some mixed reactions to this art performance. Many people who commented on the video deemed the artist crazy, or said that the performance wasn't art. There's little information about the motive behind the performance piece, or what will happen to the chickens once they've hatched.
It's difficult to believe that the man could keep the eggs warm enough. A chicken sits directly on their eggs, whereas the man is suspended above the eggs. Chickens transfer their heat to the eggs with direct contact, but that doesn't seem possible for the artist to accomplish.
Will this performance result with healthy chicks? We don't know. Hopefully he won't count his chickens before they hatch.
