Largest Horse Barn in the US Is More Like a Palace Than a Barn

Posted by Paige Cerulli

We've found the largest horse barn in the US, and not only is it large enough to house 130 horses, but it's also a work of art.

Have you ever wondered what the largest horse barn in the United States looks like? Well, now we know. Here is the largest contiguous horse barn, measuring at an incredible 78,000 square feet. It includes 130 stalls and - get this - 10 tack rooms.

Sound like paradise? Wait, there's more. There are four interior wash/tack stalls, along with eight exterior wash stalls. The barn houses a custom equine aquatic rehab treadmill and soak therapy area for hydrotherapy and conditioning, and there's an equine veterinarian area. Need to wash some blankets or saddle pads? You can choose from two commercial-grade laundry rooms that are more than up to the task.

The stunning horse barn is so large that it has different wings. The South Wing has a private owner's guest and entertaining areas, including an Argentine asado grilling area and a catering kitchen, a three-sided fireplace, and a wine room. The North Wing has pro living quarters, a 1,300-square-foot gym, and even a physical therapy room.

Take a look at this stunning barn!

It may be the largest horse barn in America, but this barn also does a lot of things right. The super wide barn aisles add safety and convenience, especially with 130 horses on the property. The barn's high ceilings and airy design, complete with banyan trees in the courtyard, allow for natural light and plenty of air circulation, both of which are important to equine health and well-being. Chandeliers and plenty of ceiling lights complete the picture.

Framed with Eastern white pine timber frame trusses by Carolina Timberworks and designed by CMB Architecture, this barn truly is a work of art.
