Should dogs be allowed on patios? Yes, of course! So many pet owners want to enjoy every activity with their pups.
Many restaurants across the state of Texas already let customers bring their dogs with them to dine in outdoor areas.
The Star-Telegram tells us that there have been restrictions.
"But some cities have put restrictions in place requiring those businesses to have inspections, apply for dog variances, pay fees and more. This law will allow restaurants to let customers with leashed dogs dine in outside areas under certain conditions.
According to the new legislation,
- The establishments will have a posted sign stating that dogs are allowed in their outdoor dining areas. Otherwise, pets will not be allowed.
- If you do take your dog to the restaurant, they must be on a leash and remain in the outdoor dining area, only.
- Dogs will not be allowed to go inside of the establishment.
We can thank State Sen. Kelly Hancock, R-North Richland Hills who filed the bill to let Texans take their dogs with them when they dine in outdoor areas such as patios.
This law goes into effect this weekend so take advantage of the new Texas law! Outdoor patios just got a lot busier with this news as I know many pet owners have been looking forward to this for months.
Other new laws? Lemonade stands have been illegal in Texas for years because of old food establishment rules. Now, these stands can be run by children legal.
