One brave California teen shoved a bear to save family dogs in a dramatic TikTok video.

A 17-year-old girl shoves a bear off the wall between her and her neighbor's house to save her dogs. The mama bear and her two cubs were out for a Memorial Day weekend stroll in the girl's southern California backyard.

The viral video shows Hailey Morinico running out into the backyard of her Bradbury home. As she runs out, she slides down in an attempt to grab up the smaller dogs. The home surveillance video shows Morinico coming face-to-face with the mother bear.

At that moment, she decides to shove the large bear off of the wall to buy her some time to get all four of the dogs inside the house. Her split-second decision saved her pups' lives and her own.

According to the Angeles National Forest, bears are typically seen from mid-April until the fall. The San Gabriel Valley, where the teen lives, is no stranger to bear sightings. Morinico says she has often seen bears, but she usually views them from the inside of her home.

In an interview with NBC, Los Angeles, Morinico said, "I was like 'Oh my God, there's a bear, and it is taking my dog. It is lifting her up off the ground."

In a follow-up to the trending video, Morinico talks about what was going through her head when she went to rescue "her babies."

The trending video has been shared repeatedly on social media and has hit every news outlet from local KTLA to the Associated Press, surprising the teen. Morinico told News Nation Now in an interview that she did not expect this much of a reaction to the video when she posted it.

Citlally Morinico said it was "one of the scariest moments in life" in a Facebook post. Luckily, Morinico only had a couple of scraps and a sprained finger from the ordeal.

She does not recommend shoving a bear to save your pets, though.
