When a woman is reunited with her dog she'd had to give up two weeks earlier, there isn't a dry eye in the house - and you'd better get your tissues ready, too!
When Tuffy's owner had to surrender him to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm in Methuen, Massachusetts, it wasn't because she didn't want him anymore. Tuffy's owner was struggling with some mysterious medical issues, and was in the area visiting her daughter, who was also critically ill. Giving Tuffy up was one of those heartbreaking decisions that no pet owner ever wants to have to make, but his owner didn't have much of a choice.
Tuffy's owner's family learned about her heartbreaking decision, and they offered to help out financially with some of Tuffy's veterinary work. They also helped to support Tuffy's mom. Two weeks after she had to surrender Tuffy, this woman was reunited with her dog that she'd had to give up.
And the moment they saw each other? Well, get your tissues ready.
When owners are forced to give up their pets, it's like breaking up a family. But sometimes owners really can't find any way to avoid the situation. You can plan ahead and keep emergency savings accounts, but sometimes life just happens.
These situations don't always have such happy endings, which is why we're simply overjoyed for Tuffy and his mom. It's obvious how much they love each other, and something tells us that they'll both be much happier now that they have each other again.
