Is This Proof Cats Can See into Other Dimensions?

Marmalade's hilarious antics in this video prove that cats have hugely overactive imaginations...or maybe they see things we don't.

Have you ever watched your cat stare at a wall, entranced? Maybe he hears a noise in the house, like the fridge turning on, and goes ricocheting into the next room to investigate. Cats are masters of overactive imaginations, and watching their reactions to tiny noises or everyday situations can be endlessly entertaining.

In this video, Marmalade demonstrates just how inventive cats can be, or that they see things we don't... Just watch as he looks at seemingly nothing and his entire demeanor changes. But don't worry, it's just for a minute. Then Marmalade is back to his adorable self again.

Not only does Marmalade demonstrate how quickly cats can react to things, but he's also showing how a cat's body language can reveal important information about his mood. Marmalade's wide eyes, flattened ears, and tense body instantly show us that he's alarmed about something, even if we can't tell what it is that set him off.

Can you read your cat's body language? Most of the time it will be more subtle than Marmalade's posture in this video, but with a little practice, you can learn how to pick up on the signals that your cat gives off. In particular, pay attention to your cat's ears, eyes, tail, and overall body posture to start understanding his body language.

We may never understand everything that cats do, but the more time we spend with them, the more accustomed we can get to their antics. Then maybe they'll bring us with them when they cross over into another dimension.
