Police Dog Finds Missing 3-Year-Old in 10 Minutes

It took only ten minutes to find this child thanks to the awesome team at the Shelby County Sheriff's office in Ohio.

The Shelby County's Sheriff Office said in their Facebook post that 'Bandit' picked up a scent and tracked down the child within 10 minutes of arriving at the scene!

WHDH News reported that the child was unharmed.

"Deputies responding to a report of a missing 3-year-old boy on Sidney Plattsville Road in Shelby County started searching for the child in front of a house, authorities said.

"I would like to thank Frank and Bandit for a job well done and it was so amazing to watch this unfold," the Shelby County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post."

These police dogs trained for tracking down humans are simply amazing. We hope every police department has a team of police dogs helping them.

The agency said on Facebook, "This is exactly why we have dog units, watching this track you could tell very well that Bandit had the scent of the child and was well on his way to finding him."

So what breeds are super popular when it comes to police dogs? The AKC tells us,

  • Belgian Malinois
  • German Shepherd Dogs
  • Bloodhounds
  • Dutch Shepherds
  • Labrador Retrievers

Maybe as a congrats gift, we should send 'Bandit' a new collar? We found this one on Amazon!
