Chicken & Waffle Dog Treats! Dogs Everywhere Are Thanking the Pioneer Woman and Purina

My three hounds love their treats. They aren't motivated at all by toys but food wins them over when we're training or I need them to leave the fenceline and come to the backdoor. We're excited about this news! (This story is also making me very hungry).

Food Network star Ree Drummond has five dogs and she consulted with Henry, Duke, Walter, Lucy, and Presley for this announcement!  Her Walmart Home collection, The Pioneer Woman, is partnering with Purina for a line of grain-free all natural dog treats that come in flavors like Beef Brisket, Chicken Parmesan, Strawberry Shortcake and Chicken & Blueberry Waffles.

All three of my dogs are drooling with excitement! The new treats will available at Walmart starting April 13. Today.com tells us that these treats were inspired by her dogs and some of her most popular recipes for people,

"Drummond cited her "love for dogs" (she absolutely adores basset hounds) as the biggest inspiration behind her latest venture."

You can learn more about her adorable dogs here.

Make sure your dogs are one of the first to try these treats! We're excited about all the flavors but the Chicken & Sweet Taters will be the treats we try with the hounds first.

The Pioneer Woman Grain Free, Natural Dog Treats; Chicken & Sweet Taters Recipe Bites

Starting at $5.48 for a 5-ounce pouch.

The treats are made with simple ingredients and the description says the new line of treats are meaty and crunchy. This is the criteria my dogs are looking for in their snacks! Clearly, the treats will be made with high-quality ingredients given these are Ree Drummond's dog treats!

We love that the Drummond doggies are part of her family since we consider our three dogs (and chickens) part of ours! With that in mind, the flavors are so unique and the packaging so cute we'll be looking at the Pioneer Woman Natural Dog treats as goodies for gift bags and birthday treats for dog friends.

How do these sound to you? Do you think your dogs will like the flavors? Please leave a comment below!
