How to Woo a Cat with an Accordion

Who knew the key to a cat's heart was accordion music?

What's the real way to win over a cat? Catnip, food, treats, some toy mice? Sure. But accordion music? Apparently it's true, at least for the cat in this video. And after seeing this cat's reaction, you may want to go out and learn how to play a musical instrument. Or at least pick up some accordion CDs.

This video captures an adorably sweet moment between this cat and his owner. When the owner picks up the accordion, you can see the cat start to melt with affection. He clearly loves the music and just can't get enough of this instrument. Take a look at this cute video!

Will your cat have the same reaction? Maybe - who knows? Many cats don't like instruments because of the volume that they produce, or the high pitches that some create. The accordion has a more mellow sound, and this cat likes the more mellow music. Some cats like particular instruments over others, but I'm sure some of it comes to individual cat preference, too.

Don't play an instrument? Don't worry, there are plenty of other things that you can do that your cat is sure to love. If your cat likes to be brushed, you can spend some extra time grooming him or her each day. Some cats adore spending time in your lap, so make time to relax each night so that you can enjoy your cat's company.

One surefire way to make just about any cat happy is to give them special food or treats. It may take a bit of trial and error to find out just which treats your cat loves, but some popular options include pieces of chicken, cheese, or tuna, and even some store-bought treats. Your cat is sure to appreciate a special treat now and then, even if it's in the form of an accordion.
