Hey pet parents, if you've been trying to find the perfect name for your new pet, we have some good news: you can look no further than the name Princess.

According to the folks over at FirstVet, a newly-launched video consultation platform for pets, and Hartsdale Pet Cemetery, the nation's (and the world's) oldest pet final resting place, the name 'Princess' is the most popular pet name in the last 115 years — yes, you heard that right, that's OVER A CENTURY!

This result came after running through the 25,000 pet names of the four-legged furry best friends buried at Hartsdale since 1905. This, of course, covers both dog and cat names. However, it is stated that 'Princess' also ranks as the most popular dog name within the past 115 years.
