Miniature Therapy Horse Used to Calm Travelers in Kentucky Airport

Next time you go to the airport, you may run into a therapy horse.

Travelers at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport did anyway, as March 9 was the start of a pilot program to study how passengers would respond to "therapy horses."

The horse in question was Dakota, a miniature horse from Seven Oaks Farm in Hamilton, Ohio. Though Dakota had never been inside an airport before she performed her duties well, greeting travelers outside the concourse and bringing many smiles.

It's not surprising that Dakota took to the program so well, as she regularly travels to schools, care facilities, and hospitals across the Cincinnati area as part of Seven Oaks Farm Miniature Therapy Horses, a nonprofit corporation that provides mobile, therapeutic services to adults and children around the area.

Keep an eye out for her next time you're traveling!
