Karly Venezia takes Loretta, a young Rhode Island Red hen, out on the water with her when she goes paddle boarding in the Florida Keys.

It's not often you see a chicken on a paddle board, but Loretta is a very calm chicken. She balances quite well on her owner's paddle board and has taken to the water like...well, not a duck, but almost like a duck.

Check out the video below:

According to Venezia:

"Loretta seems to enjoy water-related activities. In addition to paddle boarding, we've taken her out boating for sunsets and she always seems to have a great time. We've only ever taken her for a couple hours at a time, just out for sunsets, and when sunset happens it is bedtime, and Loretta's ready to go."

The swish of a paddle, the lap of waves, and the wind through your feathers, what more could a little red hen ask for?

"Paddle boarding's very calming, and I like hanging out with Loretta," said Venezia. "She's an awesome pet to have. So for us, I think coming out here and getting to enjoy the beautiful sunsets is what makes living in the Keys so special."

Only in the laid-back sunny Florida are you likely to find a chicken on a paddle board.
