80-Year-Old Man Builds A ‘Dog Train’ To Take Homeless Dogs Out On Adventures

This is an oldie but a goodie and we needed to share this story today to bring a smile to you all!

Bored Panda and Dodo shared this years ago and we love all of it. This 80-year-old retiree in Fort Worth, Texas, spends his days operating his homemade 'dog train' which takes rescued strays out for fun rides around the neighborhood and in the surrounding woods.

The interview tells us that Eugene and his brother Corky live on a dead-end street where many locals bring their unwanted dogs to leave them behind.

"We started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live," Eugene told Dodo.

I have to say it sounds pretty grim to me that people are taking all these dogs to this man's home but clearly they won the lottery with their neighbor. He's basically running a rescue!

They ride his train twice a week. When he started out he took 4-5 dogs with him and then more started showing up looking for a ride too!

This is an excellent way to spend your retirement and my dogs would LOVE a train ride. This 80-year-old man takes in stray dogs! We love this man.

We love this 'dog train' and clearly these dogs loved the ride! Please let us know if you have a comment below!
