After a long life, Jessica Alba's furriest family member has passed away.
Alba's 16-year-old pug named Sid was around for most of her famous owner's successful acting career. She was there when Alba was filming "Good Luck Chuck" and "Valentine's Day," and the little dog even got in front of the camera for the 2003 film, "Honey."
From professional success to building a family, Alba always had Sid by her side.
The actress announced via an emotional social media post that the senior dog died on Thursday morning. She said;
"Our sweet Sid passed this morning. She lived a long life, eating everything she could sniff out, she was my OG Rolldog, made her feature film debut in Honey. She was @Cash_warren first dog. Endured millions of snuggles from Havie pie and @shanidarden. She was the best friend a girl could ask for. We went through so much together my Sidders. RIP "
Sid, who was frequently featured on Alba's Instagram snuggling with her kids, will be missed by the entire family and many others. Many of the star's 11 million Instagram followers have already expressed condolences as they share in her grief. One fan wrote:
"I'm so sorry to hear that your sweet dog passed, but she looks like she had a very loving life and that always makes me happy to see a loved animal."
Alba's husband, Cash Warren, also said a few words about the first dog he had ever owned.
"Sid, we already miss you like crazy. You were the best big sister our girls could have ever had. Thank you for giving us 16 years of amazing memories, lots of laughs and most importantly, ensuring we never had a crumb of food left on our floors... love you!"
Alba and her husband are expecting their third child soon, and while the new baby will never get to meet Sid, the pug will always be a beloved member of the family.
