This Great Dane and gosling defy the big versus small stereotypes.
Great Danes are known for their skittish behavior, and apparently their timid nature extends to even small, innocent, adorable fluff balls, like this baby goose.
When a British couple introduced a four-day-old gosling to their 14-month old Great Dane, it certainly wasn't love at first sight. Hugo was tentative to accept the feathered little one into the family.
Darcy didn't seem to notice the size difference, though, pecking at Hugo as he sniffed her bottom.
Many pets create bonds with species outside their own. A Great Dane and a gosling snuggling up together would certainly be a cute photo op.
Maybe one day Hugo will be serenaded by Darcy's chirping. In the meantime, he'll have to work on taking some baby steps toward welcoming the newborn instead of leaping away!
