Hoofed animals go by many names, but they're all ungulates.

Some are ruminants, most are herbivores, but all are ungulates. Hoofed animals are hot commodities in the barnyard scene. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors and temperaments.

Donkeys, mules, horses, pigs, cows, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, and camels are all farm animals that, because of their hooves, can be classified as ungulates. They have a lot of similarities, but distinct differences further separate them into two hoofed animal categories.
