A beautiful photo of a beaming bride-to-be was upstaged by a silly horse with a big grin, and the Internet is loving it.
Womer said in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle:
"I honestly don't mind having attention on her instead of me. Dutch and Cricket are such a big part of me, and I will always have a special place in my heart for them."
The two horses featured in the photo were an homage to Womer's father, who passed away last year. Dutch and Cricket were bought by the father and daughter pair when Womer was only eight years old.
While riding Cricket, Womer walked Dutch alongside her, who was fashioned with an empty saddle to represent the memory of her father.
"This just showed that my father was there with me through the whole thing," Womer said.
The image and story have since been picked up by just about every major news outlet and has been viewed and shared thousands of times.
Photographer Tony Bendele wrote in a Facebook post:
"I can't even keep up with all of these anymore. I've found hundreds of news outlets/magazines/websites that have shared the story so far."
Despite what looks like an eye-catching grin, Womer believes the photo is simply the product of perfect timing and credits Cricket's "smile" to an ordinary response.
"Honestly, the horse is just shaking her head trying to get a fly off or something but with her showing her teeth, it looks like she is smiling."
Either way, Cricket made Wormer's big day just that much more memorable and has left thousand delighted by the sight of that big grin.
