This Hermes Christmas Commercial Shows That Rudolph Was Actually a Horse in Disguise

Our understanding of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer may be wrong, at least according to this adorable Hermes Christmas commercial.

We've all heard the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. After all, he's the guy who saved Christmas, led Santa's sleigh, and lit up the way with his glowing red nose. But what if Rudolph wasn't a reindeer at all? What if he was a horse?

This Hermes Christmas commercial gives us another look at what may have happened. The little horse in this story leads the sleigh with a glowing red nose, but according to Hermes, our understanding of Rudolph may be a little bit incorrect.

Take a look at this adorable video below.

A curious horse, a blanket, and a little bit of spookiness - yep, this iconic reindeer could be almost any horse in any barn. What a fun twist to a classic holiday story!

Would your horse be brave enough to lead the sleigh? Maybe Rudolph would be a show jumper - they can pretty much fly, after all. Or a driving horse, who would be used to pulling weight behind him and working as a team with the other horses - er, reindeer. Or maybe this special reindeer would actually be an endurance horse, with the strength and determination to keep traveling all night long until all of the presents were delivered.

Truth is, any of our horses could be Rudolph, as long as they had the help of a little Christmas magic and a team of awesome reindeer to see them on their way.
