This Sunday Oct. 15 will mark the first time dogs are allowed at Walt Disney World Resort. Four Disney resort hotels will allow guests to bring up to two dogs along to stay at the Happiest Place on Earth.
The four hotels are as follows, along with their additional per night pet cleaning rate:
- Disney's Art of Animation Resort- $50/night
- Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort- $50/night
- Disney's Yacht Club Resort- $75/night
- Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort- $50/night
There will be access from each of the rooms to outdoor pet walkways, dog parks, and pet relief areas, as well as plenty of amenities around the resort. Upon check-in your pooch will receive Pluto's Welcome Kit that will include a mat, bowls, a special Disney ID tag, disposable bags for when nature calls, puppy pads for inside the room, and a dog walking map for the area around Disney World.
Who thinks the parks are more fun with the ENTIRE family?
Disney is partnered with Best Friends Pet Care that has a full-service facility on resort property where your dog can go and play with other dogs for the day or go get pampered with their grooming services.
Disney is excited for their new dog-friendly hotel trial but expects their four-legged resort guests to be well behaved, properly vaccinated, and on leash in public resort areas.
Now is the time to plan a trip to one or all of the Disney parks in Orlando, Florida including Magic Kingdom park, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios because you don't have to leave Fido behind!
