Sometimes even NFL stars need to unwind with their pets.
On Sunday Feb. 7, Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman was on the field playing the biggest game of his life against the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl 50. But since the game it's safe to assume he is back at the barn with his own bronco, his 16.3 American Saddlebred gelding Delta 747, or Delta.
Josh grew up riding horses in his hometown of Greenwood, South Carolina. He purchased Delta a few years ago and the gelding has been a perfect fit for him, from his eager personality to his similar celebrity status; Delta even has his own Twitter account with 3,146 followers.
Though Josh loves to play football, he considers football his professional occupation and riding his passion and escape. Sometimes he even tries to combine the two.
In an October game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he celebrated a touchdown by riding the football as if it were Delta. He was fined $8,681 for "using the football as a prop" during a touchdown celebration, but it just goes to show -- even NFL stars need some time to horse around.
