If you love horses, you won't want to miss Valegro's retirement.

Since his first Grand Prix event in 2011, Valegro, known around the barn as "Blueberry," has been setting the bar in the demanding equestrian sport of dressage. His achievements include FEI World Cup Grand Prix, World Cup freestyle, and numerous team and individual gold medals during the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.

Now the dressage superstar is retiring from competition, and while no one wants to see Valegro retire, everyone wants to see him retire. And now they can.

The retirement ceremony is scheduled to take place at Olympia, the London International Horse Show, on Wednesday, December 14, but even those who cannot attend the show will be able to watch from the comfort of their own home, as BBC will be live streaming the ceremony to UK viewers.

The subscription online video service FEI TV will also be showing the event, so fans everywhere can catch one last glimpse of Valegro and rider Charlotte Dujardin in action.

After everything he has accomplished, it seems only fitting that Valegro should go out on top. Be sure to tune in to say goodbye to a true equine legend.
