Dog Found with Throat Cut and Her Snout Duct-Taped, Owner to Blame

This is an unreal story. It appears the owner of Dani the dog was lying! Dani who was reported to have been found on the side of an Ohio road with her snout duct-taped shut and her throat cut was a hoax.

Turns out the owner was seeking free veterinary care, according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office. The person that reported finding her on the street was her owner!

The original story reported was that a pup named Dani was found on the side of an Ohio road with her mouth duct-taped shut and her throat cut according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

"We will not tolerate these actions period. Not now or ever," said Sheriff Richard Jones in a tweet Friday.
USA Today reported that Dani didn't have her muzzle taped up but the injury was from the owners keeping the canine muzzled for several hours a day due to her chewing up things in their home,
"Upon interviewing the owner it was relayed to our detectives that the canine had cut its throat on a barbed wire fence and they could not afford the veterinarian bills, so they concocted a story to get the canine help for free," Jones said.

Dani's muzzle looks pretty bad to us as we have used basket muzzles many times with dogs and there shouldn't be red marks on the dog's muzzle like we see in the below post.

The case will still be dealt with appropriately but it's not known if charges will be brought against the owner.

We still think this looks like animal neglect as that neck injury is horrible and some charges should be brought against the owner for taking up so much time of the Sheriff's Office too.

What a story to make sure vet charges were taken care of!

Can you imagine how much time the Sheriff's office spent interviewing the owner? Please leave us a comment below!
