Residents of the Mile High City now have documented evidence of their love for their pets.
A study released last Wednesday by real estate website Trulia ranked Denver as the pet-friendliest metropolis among 100 U.S. cities.
Trulia took a number of factors into account in the ranking process, including: number of parks, availability of trees to climb (for cats), and fire hydrant count (for dogs). The availability of these "petmenities" factored into each city's score.
With more than two designated dog parks, 3.1% open park space, and 120 "petmenities," Denver topped the list with a score of 89.3.
