David Bowie's Son Tweets About Adoptable Dog Named After His Dad

After hearing about a dog named after his father up for adoption, David Bowie's son sent a plea through Twitter to help find the pup find his forever home.

Bowie is a three-year-old lurcher-collie cross currently up for adoption in Wales through Dogs Trust Bridgend. Bowie was given his name when the rescue noticed his striking eyes.

Just like David Bowie, Bowie the dog has two different colored eyes: one blue and one brown. Unfortunately, this unique feature is causing him to be overlooked by potential adopters.

Bowie's story made the news in Wales and eventually spread across the UK, eventually reaching Duncan Jones, David Bowie's son. In a tweet, he shared that Bowie's story really touched him and he hoped that someone nearby could open his or her home to the pup.

Bowie is still looking for a forever home with a family that will see beyond his differences.

If you, or somebody you know, is interested in adopting Bowie you can contact the Dogs Trust Bridgend.
