When Purina wanted to donate grain to a Colorado horse rescue, they knew just who should deliver it.
The Budweiser Clydesdales are synonymous with freedom, with industry, with the American Dream. They are loved around the country, and even the world, for their talent, and have made some of the most beautiful and patriotic television statements of all time.
But they have perhaps never been loved more than the day they helped Purina deliver 4,000 pounds of feed to a Colorado horse rescue.
Far View Horse Rescue in Colorado makes it its goal to find a forever home for every horse in its care. It is run solely by volunteers, and when the rescue had exhausted its food budget and was facing a harsh winter, Purina stepped in to help.
Purina is a title sponsor of A Home For Every Horse, that supports shelters like Far View. As Purina marketing director Jamie Kinnear said:
"At Purina it's a no-brainer for us to be a title sponsor for A Home For Every Horse. Shelters like Far View have a lot of challenges in terms of what these horses need when they arrive, and to take feed out of the equation and make sure that they have high quality premium feed that allows them to really get the animals back on the right track fits with our belief that all horses deserve their forever home."
Purina decided to donate 4,000 pounds of its Purina Strategy grain to the Far View horses. But they wanted to do it in style, and that's where the Budweiser Clydesdales came in. Check out this amazing video of a very special occasion.
Meeting the Budweiser Clydesdales was an incredible surprise for the horse-loving volunteers at Far View, and the grain that came with them was an even better one for the horses that live there.
