adopt a kitten

This could be one of the easiest decisions you ever make.

Kittens are full of fluff, love, and a whole lot of spunk, and choosing to adopt one of your own isn't much of a decision at all. They compete with dogs in being the most popular pet in the United States, and about one third of all American households have at least one feline in the family.

The benefits of adopting a kitten are too numerous to count, but here's a list to get you started.

1. You'll never be lonely again.

2. Even when they give you attitude, they're still ridiculously adorable.

5. Getting a cat will force you to reevaluate your priorities.

6. And it's impossible to look at a cuddly cat and not smile.

7. Cat cuddles are the purrfect remedy for when you're feeling blue.

10. They're smart. They practically take care of themselves.

11. Cats are hilarious.

12. And sometimes your heart turns to goo because of all the cuteness.

13. Have we mentioned they're really cute?

ADOPTED 😻Ernie is adorable. He lived outside with his mom & siblings. Then one day they were all rescued by a caring volunteer, never will they have to be outside, scared, alone, waiting for mom to find them food. 2 of Ernies siblings have found homes, now it's his time. Oh & his sister wants a home too. They are still somewhat scared. Can you blame them? But we hold them daily, reassure them that they are safe & that we will find them a home. Can you open your heart & your home up for Ernie & maybe his sister too. Oh & the really cool thing about these kittens, they are polydactyl, meaning they have extra toes. 14. There are too many kittens and adult cats out there looking for loving homes.

15. And adopting one, or two, or five, is always a good idea.

When you adopt a kitten, you gain a best friend that won't judge you when your idea of a good time is eating popcorn and binging on Netflix. They don't mind hearing for the hundredth time how awful your boss is, and they teach us that the best thing to do when you're stressed is to find the nearest patch of sun, stretch out, and take a snooze.

Shelters are overflowing with homeless kittens and abandoned cats, and they need your help! Head to your local animal shelter to change the world for both you and a kitten in need. We promise you won't regret your decision.
