The video doesn’t capture the actual rescue, but it does show a group of cats, soaked from the rain, being taken to safety.

Pet owners are encouraged to take their pets with them as they evacuate their homes to escape the catastrophic flooding. According to ABC News, “During Hurricane Katrina nearly a quarter of a million dogs and cats were displaced or died.”

As animal rescue efforts continue throughout Texas, a good number of people are proving to the world that animals matter. It’s only fair that we show our animals the same love as they show us.
