Senior Dog Cries With Joy When Her Soldier Returns Home

This senior dog may not be able to jump around, but she sure makes it clear how much she's missed her soldier.

When Hannah Foraker headed off for three months of Basic Combat Training, she had to leave her senior dog behind. But when Hannah came home, she received quite an impressive greeting!

This video captures the moment when Hannah is reunited with her long-time friend; it's adorable! You can see the affection that the dog has for her soldier, and she can hardly contain himself as Hannah kneels down to greet him. She doesn't jump around like some of the other soldier greetings out there, but she certainly finds a way to let Hannah know just how much he's missed her.

Take a look at this adorable video.

Leaving a dog behind for any reason is difficult, but it gets harder the longer the period of time that you'll be gone. If you know you have to leave your dog, make arrangements ahead of time to ensure that he has the best of care. Always leave contact information so that you can be reached in an emergency, and it's a good idea to also leave a contact for people who can serve as additional emergency contacts if you can't be reached.

There are all sorts of different arrangements for your dog's care. Perhaps a family member or friend can care for your dog while you're away. Other options include boarding and pet sitters. The right option will depend on your dog's personality, your finances, and the amount of time that you'll be away for.

Though it's never fun to be apart from your dog, you can be guaranteed that you'll get quite the greeting when you're reunited again.
