A shelter in Georgetown needs homes for their cats, or else they will have to be euthanized.
In a heartbreaking Facebook post that quickly went viral, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter announced that they had to find homes for 100 cats in three days or else they would have to put them down.
The shelter faces a tough decision but after recently taking in 40 cats from a hoarding situation in Cedar Park, their facilities just don’t have enough room for all the animals.

The post received the attention the shelter hoped for but now it all comes down to who actually goes and takes home a cat. The adoption fees will be lowered from $75 to a mere $1 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Aug.11-13). Potential adopters must be 18 years or older and can also apply to provide foster care for the cats in the meantime.
The shelter is located at 1855 S.E. Innerloop, Georgetown.
As of yesterday, due to the initial Facebook post, 80 cats were adopted out to good homes!
