If you’re tired of picking up your dog’s poop during every walk, you don’t have to worry any longer – there’s an app for that.
Ahh, the conveniences of our cell phone and Internet lifestyle. There’s an app for just about everything, and now there’s one for picking up your dog’s poop. Enter Pooper, the app designed to quickly hire someone else to pick up your dog’s poop for you. Take a picture of your dog’s poop with the app, post it, and the app snags your geographic location, sending out an alert to its team of Scoopers. Your work is done, as is your dog’s, and you both can continue on your way.
But what happens to the poop? Scoopers, people who sign up to make a bit of extra money, receive the alerts and respond to them. A Scooper will show up to the site, clean up your dog’s poop using a Pooper 100% compostable bag, and voila. The area is clean and your dog’s business is taken care of.
And yes, Pooper is real. Take a look at this video for more information.
So why use Pooper? Well, if you’re out and about, it’s not always the most convenient thing to stop and take care of your dog’s poop. When you’re holding multiple items and don’t want to deal with stopping to clean up, Pooper means that there’s someone else available to do it for you. Plus, cleaning up after your dog is the right thing to do, especially if you’re in a public space.
You might be wondering what Pooper costs. According to its website, plans start at $15 per month. The basic $15 plan gets you two scoops a day within a 15-mile radius. You can upgrade to other plans which give you more scoops and an increased radius.
So, what do you think? Is Pooper the next big app? Will it be a hit in the cities? And will you and your dog be giving it a try?
