Dedicated Golden Has Delivered Neighborhood Newspapers for 11 Years

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night keeps Quincy the Golden Retriever from doing his postal duty.

It's early in the morning, but a pup named Quincy, and his owner, Paul Goldan, are already making their rounds. The newspaper has technically already been delivered to homes in Boulder, CO, but it's Quincy's job to make life a little easier for his neighbors.

For the past 11 years, this delivery dog has been a welcome sight to Boulder homeowners. After the official newspaper delivery person leaves the paper at the end of the driveway, in the front yard, or under the bushes—depending on their aim—Quincy collects it and brings it directly to the front door. As the second Golden Retriever from the Goldan family to take on the responsibility, Quincy's owner is happy to provide the service to his neighbors. He told NBC:

"To some extent it's fun to train [the dog] and see how fast they respond, but more important for me, it's just nice to give to your neighbors."

Like the postal service, Quincy doesn't let weather get in his way. He finds and delivers every newspaper even when they're buried beneath snow.  By the looks of his wagging tail, it seems like Quincy is happy to take on his daily delivery duties.
